Keep your workouts simple
Complicated exercises are not more effective
I like the KISS principle for most things in my life: Keep It Simple St#pid
A succesful workout includes one exercise in each of these categories:
- Upper body Pull
- Upper Body Press
- Lower body Press
- Lower body hinge
A 5th category could be Carry, which is great for core control and functional activities.
- Do not over complicate your workout.
- Think Lat pull, Bentover Row for upper body pulling
- Pick a tricep or chest exercise for upper body press.
- Use s quat variation you like for lower body press
- Then do a deadlift, or another hinge exercise for lower body pull.
- Start with a weight that allows you to perform 3 sets of 12 solid, good executed reps
- If 3x12 gets easy, increase the resistance and start with 3x8,
- Progress to 3x10 and then 3x12 as you can. Repeat.
