Foam roll before or after exercises?
Many people ask me: “When to foam roll?”. I have always used Foam Rolling like I use stretching: it’s nice to use Foam Rolling before exercises, but I see most benefits when using it afterwards. Foam Rolling has become (almost too) popular. It has it’s benefit, but it’s no a substitute for corrective exercises.
Foam Rolling can be used to reduce tone and relax your muscles, not something you need right before you start to work out. A Dynamic Workout would be much more beneficial. Static stretching has it’s benefits, but this also better done after a workout.
